Untitled-1

Spaaaaa Ringaaa!( in my lovely opera voice) It’s coming! I can smell it. I can see it. I can feel it! What about you? Are you ready for Spring! The great thing about living in warm weather climates is that you get to see those signs sooner than later!

Our grass is a pretty green right now! So plush and full! I could stand barefoot on this stuff for hours. The the kiddies are really enjoying it:0)

So naturally when  I see such wonderful surroundings I want to prep my nest for Spring:0) I’ve recently seen some inspiring photos of indoor gardens so I decided to try my hand at some.

So I headed out to my local Walmart to see what I could find.

My first stop was the air freshener isle to try out Renuzit new Fresh Accents freshener. That section is HUGE! So many different types to choose from. I may have spent a few minutes or longer comparing and contrasting:0) What I like about the Renuzit new Fresh Accents freshener is that it’s easy and um, AFORDABLE!.

I’m a candle lover, warmer girl myself but sometimes I need something that works immediately, doesn't take to much time and gives me that instant smell good smell! Right?

Plus with a dollar off coupon, you can’t beat the price! The directions looked super easy,so I tossed in my cart and was on my way to pick up some indoor gardening supplies on the other side of the store. I love being able to get multiple items at one stop!:0)

This little lady and I headed home and were off to give our living room a little pick me up.I wanted to add something to this section of the room. So I filled up my glass containers with soil and easily planted the succulents.

The air accent fits right into my nature seenWinking smile I love how it adds some much need life to the space. Can’t wait to add more Spring to the rest of the house. You can easily do the same by switching out a lamp shade, adding some pillows, fresh plants AND fresh scents!

Girls Night In Guide {Holiday Entertaining}

Thanks to Duncan Hines for sponsoring my writing. There's no limit to the baking possibilities, so grab your favorite Duncan Hines mix and Comstock or Wilderness fruit fillings and Bake On! www.duncanhines.com.

If your thinking about gathering up the girls for some Christmas cheer, then here is a quick guide for a fun girls night in.

Start off with a fun color scheme! I think a pink and green is beautiful combination for Christmas. Even if you just set up a small spot in your kitchen, it’s sure to set a festive backdrop! Small tinsel trees in pink and green are inexpensive and really grounds the color scheme.

How cute is this outfit. Jeans, a tunic and a touch of leopard can make hosting comfortable. You can also have your girlfriend wear their favorite shades of pink. Taking “photo booth” photos using props would be a fun way to keep the memories!

Even more PINK! These sparkle cupcakes I made used colored sugars, dark brown cupcake liners and my favorite Duncan Hines cake mix, Devils Food. You can learn this simple technique here!

Don’t forget to add a cute hot chocolate bar! I love this one with the chalkboard

Finally, decide on what you and your friends want to do! Maybe just a night of chit chatting about LIFE,crafting up some homemade gifts, or watching Christmas movies while exchanging small gifts like different colored socks. Getting my girls together each season is a must for me. I hope you can find some inspiration to do the same!

New Look for New York with Makeup.com

Thanks to L'Oreal for sponsoring my post about my favorite beauty looks, tips and tricks! Check out Makeup.com for beauty advice from the experts.

I'm headed out to New York next week to be on the Nate Show! If your new to the story then you can read about it here:0) I’m really excited and super nervous!

So to get my mind off the nervous part I decided to try something new. There is no denying that I’m a girly girl. I played sports my entire life, but that was really the extent of my boyish side. Even when I was on the volleyball court I made sure I had a nice tight ponytail with a sweet ribbon tied in my hair. So when I got conformation that I would be heading to to NewYork my first thoughts were…new clothes, cute shoes, blondish hair and pretty makeup:0)

One of the best things I do to my skin on a weekly basis is exfoliate. My face, my legs and my arms are the places I need it the most because they are exposed most of the time. I love how it leaves my skin so silky! I prefer a courser exfoliate like ONE from Target. But if you have sensitive skin then something made with finer sugars or salts might work better.

While I was scrubbing my skin last week I really noticed my eyebrows. Your not gonna believe it but I’ve never had my eyebrows professionally done. I think I was just to afraid of having hot wax on my face. BUT I knew I needed them done BADLY:0) For 28 years they have been a wavy overgrown mess maintained by a small razor, clear gel and a wet and wild eyebrow pencil:0) I finally decided that THIS occasion was the perfect time to try something new so I did, and I LOVED it.

Hot mess right…lol.

First of all it was cheap. 10.00 for wax, plucking and clipping. Second, it didn’t hurt at all! I guess after having three kids my pain tolerance is a tad bit different. But I hear the new thing is threading, so I'm like a decade behind..lol

I'm not sure how hair and makeup will go when I get to the studio but I do know I would love to rock some shimmery eye shadow like this one from Maybelline and and a nude lip gloss from L’Oreal. I love me some neutrals.

I love this palette because it tells you where to put it…makeup for dummiesSmile

So here it is all together. New hair, arched brow and some shimmer.

So I learned that I should never wait 28 years to try anything! Ha. So.Much.Better.Yes.

You can take a sneak peak into my bag NYC bag tomorrow:0)

A Little More Email Love {Encouraging Emails}

Thank you to Yahoo! Mail for sponsoring this post about staying connected. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Last time I shared how much WE (Reggie and I ) Love Email because it helps us stay connected through the day and keeps us so in LOOOOOVE and all smoochie smoochie.

Well, the other reason I LOVE email is because it’s a way to receive and give ENCOURAGMENT!  My church is doing a twitter series, (I know, cool right?) and this was one of the topics a few weeks ago. So it got me thinking about…

Encouragment

How great is it when you open up an email from one of your besties saying , "I was thinking about you today! Have a wonderful day!”

Or from your mom saying “ Your such a great mom! Thank you for my grandkids!!!

A little encouragement via email can shape someone's entire day, week, or LIFE:0) Thanks to my lovely blog here, my email address gets filled with encouraging LOVE notes just about everyday! It’s quite the self esteem builder…lol! I don’t ever take it for granted. You guys are just amazing and SO encouraging!

Lainie, one of my readers, recently decided to leave the sweetest message about my Hallway Signs:0) Her few words totally made my day!

Lanie Email Love

An encouraging email from Heather from ReStyle group lead me to start doing some design consulting :0) More on that later!

image

You never know when someone is about to quit, throw in the towel, or give up on their dreams. Everyone has bad days and your words might just change that! So never hesitate to let someone know how special they are to you!

One of my favorite verses to read when I need some encouragement from God is Romans 8. Romans

Check out this video. Looks like this little girl got some great encouragement from her daddy and is returning the favor!

What encouraging words have touched you lately?

Gettin Ready for Christmas…CARDS:0)

Pin It I LOVE gettin all of our Christmas cards in the mail during the holiday season. From friends and family and folks that you really haven’t “seen” all year. Whenever I get the cards it’s always interesting to see how the card matches the personality of the family.
This one year I received a card from a college friend and it was super CUTE! At the time everyone's Christmas cards were all the same.. poesy poesy smiles with the Christmas tree backgrounds, but hers was PINK and RED with pictures off all her babies! I immediately flipped it over and discovered it was from SHUTTERFLY!  I logged on and the rest is history:0) I have ordered many things from the sight including calendars(that hangs in my husbands office) and large scale prints for my home and for friends because the quality is SO amazing!!!
So here it is Christmas time and after a few years of making my own Christmas cards via Photoshop, I decided that I would mix it up and let someone else do the work for me…lol.
Shutterfly has and variety of amazing Christmas cards. Some printed on cardstock and some are a little simpler printed on glossy photo paper. No matter which one I choose I know that it will be excellent quality and I wont have to worry about anyone having the same card as me because there are so many CHOICES!!! If you don't have a vision for your family card before hand you might end up ordering two or three different ones to satisfy you creative bug:0)
My favorites from 2010 collection:

Aren’t they just lovely:0)))
If your all about color these are a must!…

I can’t wait to send out this years card to all of our family and friends!!!! I took a couple of snapshots of the babies….Reggie and I will make the card again one day…lol…for now we just give everyone the best of us…lol MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
