Jingle Bells Jingle Bells….Dashing threw the snow…Silent Night, Holy Night…All I want for Christmas is youuuuu baby!! Oh YES! It’s Christmas time you guys! The most wonderful time of the year! Celebrating everything good, the birth of Jesus, family and friends, and of course trimming your house with Christmas cheer!

My good friend Heather from the Restyle Group and I got together last weekend before all of the Thanksgiving madness and spent a afternoon doing what we do best…decorating:0) I love walking into a well decorated home and Heathers is just that, it’s BEAUTIFUL!!! We started with her big chunky:0) mantel with muted browns, a creamy yellow back drop and raised hearth. Check out these three fun mantels that we created using our most loved items from our favorite stores, Homegoods, Target, Pottery Barn and much more!

We used tons of texture…….

and a few metallic:0) Love those owls? Heather picked them up from Homegoods!

If burlap and bling is your thing then this will be your pick. We used a fun chalkboard above the mantel with a full burlap wreath. We paired it up with some mercury glass candle sticks,wood and sliver and white accents!

Every year for the past 6 years or so I have been making Christmas Cupcakes to share with family and friends. One of my FAVORITE cupcake decorating techniques is rolling a frosted cupcake in fine colored sugar! I just makes for a really clean and easy to eat cupcake! So here is what you need to frost the EASIEST cupcake in the world……

Easy Homemade Gifts- Lace Flower Clippies

Pin It One of my favorite things to do around the holiday season is to make homemade gifts:0) This year I have tons of friends with little babies being born in December…lots of girls and some boys to. Throughout the year I meet so many different people that are awesome friends so naturally my gift list grows and grows. So for a super easy gift I wanted to make some hair clips out of some lace that I picked up from Goodwill early this year. It was SO easy and I had every single thing in the house, so I was happy about that!
  When I first saw this set of ribbon I picked it because ONE, it was just so pretty..TWO there was TONS of it and THREE it just LOOKED like Christmas. Now I admit I had no idea what I was going to do with it when I purchased it, but I am glad I did:0) To make it even sweeter, it was HALF off…so yes that would be 99 cents for the whole thing! I know..I know. I even took a sneak peak at the back to see the original price per yard and it was 9.98…my heart is happy.

I have a FEWWW :0) bows and flowers that Alivya has collected, so I did a quick study and just came up with something real simple.

Lace Flower Clippies

Take two pieces of felt and cut out two circles one measuring 2 inches and one 3 inches . For a  larger flower  cut out about 4 and 5 inches and so on. With your larger one take your hot glue gun and work the lace around the larger circle, starting at the edge of the circle then, glue and pinch it to the felt. Keep going until you reach the middle. Then  snip the ribbon at an angle and glue it to the middle of the felt.

After that take your clip and clip it to the small piece of felt. Then glue the bottom of that piece to the bottom of the felt lace flower.

  

Then choose and embellishment to put in the middle. This one came from an Old Navy sandal that is no more:0(

I whipped up SEVEN of these in about 45 minutes, NO JOKE:0) Great naptime craft for sure and something I hope the recipients will love to receive. Making gifts around the holiday time is such a special way to show others that your thinking about them and how much they mean to you!

Mother's Day

Another wonderful Mothers Day! May is becoming my FAVORITE month....not only is it Mothers Day, but my BIRTHDAY is on Monday and then we kick off the summer with a memorial Day BBQ!! The boys made it a very relaxing day. I enjoyed every single bit of it. My hubby and boys just made me smiley ALLLLLL day! They sure know how to make a girl feel special. Reggie and I both made a commitment to make sure that all of the holidays we celebrate are Christ centered and focused not only on his blessings but also what he has promised us!

I really wanted to take a family picture BUT the boys wouldn't sit down with ME:0(...and Reggie's hair....welll mmmmmm...he missed his weekly hair cut....lol....:0) But I did manage to snap a few good ones..Reggie took the ones of me and the boys!

I took this one at my parents house...the lighting is sooooo yelllow! But turning it into a vintage made it PERFECT...so cute! You should hear him say his prayers...he has a list that goes on an on..."thank you for mommy thank you for daddy for Mikah for papa for momma c thank you for nana for aunties and uncles thank you fo karmicheal for animals for ontario alexia vitee vonye thank you for coloring"...once you meet him your added to the list:0)
